The Bluewater Nest

A nice unit and great location but not value for money when staying for more than a couple of days. Positive: We liked the location of the unit, easy parking and overall comfort of the unit. The unit was an easy walk to Ormond Street and shops. The back lane made it easy to park our car. The unit is nicely styled. Negative: We stayed for two weeks. This meant we were not going to eat out every night. The unit was under whelming as far as the kitchen was concerned. There were no bowls for the microwave, no dishes to put nuts, chips etc. What plates etc were there were not complete. Two of this, three of that, nothing was consistant. Not even a basic potato peeler. If you were only staying for a couple of nights it would be fine but any longer then you would find the kitchen is not well enough equipped for a longer stay. The bathroom is very old. There are no grab rails to assist getting in and out of the bath/shower. The TV and remote very frustrating to use. There is a washer/dryer but the dryer did not dry properly and there was nowhere to hang wet clothes other than over cupboard doors to dry. On arrival we had to ring the caretaker to get lights replaced which they did very promptly. For the money and the length of our stay this unit was not value for money.
